I would really benefit from a response to this as well

It looks to me like it’s in a really big pot. Maybe it would benefit from checking the roots. Ideally it should be pretty snug in there. Maybe make sure there is no root rot and if the roots aren’t taking up too much space you could move it to a smaller pot.

It has been in that pot for over a year and it’s only now having trouble. Why is that?

      Possibly overwatering

i second the pot being too big. check the roots and put in a pot only 2 inches wider than the root ball.

Probably over-watering maybe the pot is too big? Or Have you fertilized it recently?

No I haven’t. Is that the reason?

If you're not over watering... Here's some other options

Well I would say that not fertilizing it is not helping the situation I would do it now before the winter I use fox farm grow big, and I also use City Bloom clean kelp liquid seaweed. Which has other nutrients for the plants, but I alternate those during the growing season I wouldn't fertilize too much in the winter unless you have a grow light and it's actively putting out new growth but for at this point as long as you are not over watering which does seem to be the more likely cause, I'd give it a super super diluted liquid green plant food
