This new leaf popping out of my albo monstera seems to have this goopy brown stuff on it 😰…should I be worried?

    Aw it looks like some of the leaf rotted before it unfurled 😕 I hate when that happens. It should still finish unfurling and keep growing, but the mushy parts will turn crispy unfortunately I find that this happens to my plants either due to me spraying a pest treatment that was too strong for baby leaves, the pests themselves, or root rot from over/inconsistent watering. Do any of these sound like a possibility?
