So like I know that new leaves often are a lighter color but my monstera has been trying to push out this leaf for a while and it seems to have turned light yellow? (It’s not detached from the base yet)

Use a humidifier or mist often to help the leaf out, if is a regular deliciosa it should not be yellow unless is an albo

Okay so it’s not an albo but does that mean it’s sick or something?

It may be it dry up, you can always try to cut through the shield that cover the leaf where is supposed to open and check the leaf inside

Try cut through, but if the sheath has turned yellow it may be dead

Alright! I have been misting it constantly and wrapped the baby leaf in a layer of wet cloth to account for the cover I removed and so far it’s looking pretty good!

It looks good so far the new leaves come lighter and darken as the light hits and it hardens
