Hello fellow plant lovers! I’d love your advice… This is my first Monstera. I feel like I could be doing better with it, but I’m not sure how. It seems to be growing well but the leaves aren’t perforating all that much. I heard that you should have something for it to grow up like a moss pole. I’ve also heard that you should only have one “plant” in a pot, and even though I bought this as a single plant, it looks like there may be more than one. I’d love your input on how to keep her thriving. P.s. I understand why people are obsessed with them because I’m definitely on my way lol.

She looks pretty happy all in all! 👏🏼 if you want more fenestrations in the leaves, more light is your anecdote. A pole to help her climb is ideal… or else she’ll start to crawl. Regarding one plant per pot- it just depends on your aesthetic preference. Not necessary. I have around four big nodes in mine. 🌿

Thank you so much 💚 that’s so great to hear. Your monstera is gorgeous! The leaves look so perfect. I’ll be sure to give mine some more light if it can look like that🌿

No reason to change what you’re doing. She looks great. More light=more fenstrations. As far as the multiple offshoots goes that’s a good thing in my book. Makes a plant look more full. I still consider it one plant. Although you can put two different kinds of plants in one pot as long as they’re companion plants, buts that’s another topic

Thank you! I’ll be sure to give her some more light — I’d love to get more fenstrations. I agree, it looks full with the multiple offshoots and I love that.

Totally agree with more light! My monstera has responded well to some light pruning of the smaller sucker leaves, and it also loves fertilizer.

Not sure I’m using the technical term here. I mean the small leaves at the bottom that never grow any bigger and don’t get fenestrations.
