Hi guys!! Any recommendations for new potting soil for my monstera ?? I have to repot with new soil because my current soil has mold growing on top and I can tell it’s not gonna survive! Any tips and tricks please? I moved into a new place and I feel like it hasn’t been thriving here
Hey! Okay so I've had this problem and mould on the top doesn't allllwaaayyyssss mean you need to repot, but each to their own! You can just treat the mould and just make sure you're treating the whole area and not just the top. I'd probably buy some chunky soil mix with perlite that's well draining - there are some decent ones on Amazon but you can always make your own! 😊 Orchid bark is also something that can be good for a soil mix as well, the key is to making sure there is lots of drainage!

imo, monsteras can grow in anything. i’ve used all purpose soil, tropical, and a chunkier mix *+1 on the orchid bark. just make sure you water when it’s dry based on its needs. i usually don’t repot when i see mold—i scoop the top off and sprinkle a little cinnamon. (you may be overwatering or need to aerate by creating some pockets in the soil)
