Hi friends, I’ve found this monstera adansonii with a white variegated leaf for $15. It’s obviously mislabeled because these are usually sooo expensive. It only has one white leaf that’s beginning to brown because it’s not getting enough light here. I have much more light at home for it, though. It also has really strong roots and doesn’t need to be repotted from this 4” pot yet. What do you think? Is it worth the purchase or should I leave it behind? I already have the non variegated version of this that’s grown to be several feet long. So I know I have the right conditions for this plant. $15!! Let me know what you think and FAST! Thanks!

I'm questioning if that's deficiency. And not actual albo?

Hmm you might be right. The browning makes sense then too

I have bought more than a few cheap plants on a maybe though 😆 🤣 usually deficiency is yellowish, vs white/creamy ish that albo is.

It’s such a hard decision!! I’m in a plant shop in NY but I live in MD, so more signs point to leaving it behind unfortunately 😭

That always makes it worse. Even when I'm just up in Seattle and hour or so away. It's like, I can't find this where I'm at 😬

I don’t think it’s variegation, some times my adansonii does the same thing when it’s struggling to unfurl, so goes white and dies off

Yeah I've had the exact thing happen before too.
