Hello! I’ve had my albo for over 2 months now with no growth signs. You can see where the new leaf will eventually come out, but it hasn’t changed all this time. The bottom leaves hang quite a bit. Gets lots of indirect filtered sunlight. Not over watering whatsoever. Are these just very slow growers or am I doing something wrong here ☹️

Is this the same as a Philodendron “White Wizard”?

Monstera deliciosa can definitely stop growing leaves at times. I’ve noticed that mine always stop working on new leaves every I repot them. I think it’s because the plant is redirecting growth focus to the roots now that there’s more room for them to fill out I assume that you put it in this pot when you got it? Typically mine take about 1-3 months before it resumes leaf growth. So you should be seeing progress again soon. How big was the original pot when first you got it?

You are exactly right! This is the pot it was originally in:

It was in regular potting soil as well, which was very very saturated with water

Aha! 😂 So my theory stands that you’re getting close to seeing that leaf finally push out! I’m rooting for you and the plant ☺️ Good call on changing the pot and soil. Sooooo much better than what it came in! Definitely suitable for such a gorgeously variegated albo

Fertilize fertilize man! These monstera need fertilizer to grow lots of leaves. I use happy house plants fertilizer in every watering. I have also been adding a tsp of silica for the white leaves to keep the white happy and well, white.

Where do you typically order it from and how much you use while watering?

I get it directly for the happyhappyhouseplant website. It has a dropper in the bottle that is awesome and I put in the directed amount - 1ml for 1 gallon of water - with every watering. It has been an absolute game changer. My plants are all growing like crazy and really pest resistant- no infestation here. Love this stuff. For the silica I put 1tsp per gallon of water + the happy house plant food and water all my white leaf variegated plants with that mix.
