please help 🥹🥹 i picked up this beautiful girl about a week ago off marketplace in prep for my first home and making it as green as possible. i noticed some of the leaves were yellowing/curling in so i moved it further from the window yesterday. i just got in from work and noticed more curling in and now these leaves that look as tho they’re being eaten. is this something that happens or should i be looking at the cats (that aren’t coming with me - i know monsteras can be toxic to animals). i really want to help her thrive and i feel like ive already let her down. any beginner tips and suggestions are so appreciated 🫶 edit : we’re still getting snow here in ontario so the heat is on. i’m sure that doesn’t help

I’d say keep an eye on it for a bit, as well as the cats. It might be having a hard adapting to the new environment.

It took mine a month after getting it for it to stop looking sad.

Any time I bring in a new plant, I assume it’s going to look sad for a short time as it adapts. Are there any pests?

check for spider mites, sometimes yellowing can mean mite damage but it could just be getting used to the environment. you can treat for pests just as a precaution

thank you so much everyone! i’ll start prophylactically treating for pests and just support her as she adjusts for now💛
