Hi everyone! I just got this Thai Con and was hoping you could help me diagnose these dark spots on a couple of the leaves. Is this sunburn? Fungal? Watering issues? Thanks!!

This isn't going to help bcz it could be any of those things.. Sorry i don't know which one it could be.

0 likesI just picked it up 2 weeks ago, so it’s new to me. It’s been on my back deck (partial sun, SW facing) since I got it until I can get my new grow light set up for it
0 likesThe sun could be too intense for it. I keep my regular monstera deliciosa outside during summer but it's on my shaded porch in very bright indirect light. When the sun does shine through it only get direct sun for about an hour and I still think thats a bit much with how hot it is lately. If your going to keep it outside you should place it somewhere it only gets morning sun. The afternoon heat could be too much for it.
2 likesThe dark spots to me look like it's getting scorched.
2 likesI’m thinking you’re right. I’ve moved it back a bit, more under the covered part of our porch so it doesn’t get direct afternoon sun. I should have a spot for it in our loft with a grow light here soon and it’ll be more stable then
1 likeIf it’s mushy then it’s over watered if it’s crispy then it’s under watered and if it’s the oldest leaf it might be just dieting because it’s old
0 likesNot mushy, one of the leaves is the oldest but one of the others with this is in the middle
0 likesThen it’s probably being under watered
0 likesThe soil is staying moist though, I check it every couple of days just so I can learn the timeline of watering it. Especially since it’s outside at the moment and it’s been hot. I’ve never had one this big and it’s in a soil that retains moisture well
