Not a plant expert at all, but was gifted this monstera a few years ago and it has gotten so big! Finally starting to get fenestrations too - any tips to get more leaves with holes? 🫶🏻

Snip off the smaller leaves without fenestrations and you’ll see some more leaves with holes!

I just bought a monstera today and an employee at the store told me that more light = more holes in the leaves!

Surfside SeedlingHow old is it? As the plant matures, you’ll see larger leaves with more fenestrations (holes & splits).

The fenestrations are there to allow light to reach lower leaves.

More indirect light and with the plant maturing it will get more fenestrations
