I’m pretty sure my monstera has root rot, just by some of the leafs and the new leaf that was coming in that I had to cut off. But what do I do to fix it, I just got this plant not even a month ago and the is my first plant with root rot. So what do I do?

Start by repotting into a clay or terracotta pot with a very chunky substrate mix. It has to be able to dry out. Imagine the conditions it naturally lives in. So it has to dry out between watering. Trim any dying roots and spray roots with a fungicide. Neem oil or sulfur spray works well and repot. Trim back any dead leaves and give it warm place in a sunny area (not direct sun it can handle but not when it’s recovering otherwise it will burn save full sun for stronger plants)
