Hi all! I bought this this baby off market place last night. She’s a bit worse for wear. I am going to give her a repot with fertiliser and a grow light. But I was just curious, if this was your plant what would you do? Would you chop any leaves off? Would you chop and propagate? Would you just repot and leave it be? Just curious on people’s plans of attacks on helping a plant that needs a bit of lovin ☺️

Chop that baby up and make multiple! Especially with all of those roots. Might be the best bet

Hi there, what a beauty and I’m sure you’ll do great rehabbing. I would chop and prop and make multiple plants and would trim off leaves that are too damaged. For the base plant, I would repot most likely in the same pot but with a fresh aroid mix and would use a different support.

Was she given fertilizer previously? I know that after a while of plants living off of sub-par nutrient stores they tend to be more sensitive to fertilizer burn. Maybe start her slow with a very dilute dose if she’s not used to it?

I think I would just repot her and inspect the roots in the process and leave it at that. It looks to me like mainly she was under watered for a while so a fresh start in new soil, fertiliser, more consistency in watering and light and she’ll be good as new! May well experience some shock at first but should settle thereafter. As she grows new leaves you could trim back some of the crispy parts

Thank you all for your replies! I have been so undecided on what I want to do but I think I will just repot her for now and let her recover a bit, then decide if I want to leave her or chop and prop. I already have a Thai about the same size that’s super happy and I would love to have 2 big healthy Thais but I could have so many more if I chop and prop 😋 also I didn’t think of the fertiliser burn, the lady i bought her off said she hasn’t had a repot or any fertiliser in a long while so ill definitely introduce it slowly ☺️
