Best fertilizer for Monstera to encourage fenestration? I’ve only used liquid plant vitamins, but my monstera has never developed fenestration in the three years I’ve had it and I would really like for it to!

brittrbIdk about fertilizer but I’ve heard that more sunlight = more fenestration. And it worked for mine🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you! I only have two windows of sunlight in my apartment so unfortunately, it might just be my luck while living here… we’ll see!

Yeah, maybe a grow light? Also I know the older and more mature the plant gets then fenestration will occur more

KatomaroseLack of fenestrations is due to lack of adequate light. Putting it directly in front of the window can help or get a grow light to supplement.

Thanks, all! It’s a couple feet from one of the only windows we have in our apt and directly under a grow light. I think it’s just my apartment layout unfortunately!

Your grow light could be not strong enough or you have it too far away. I would put it about a foot away.
