Hi! I bought a gorgeous trailing monsters adansonii a few weeks ago and repotted it because I could see she was root bound and outgrowing her pot. Once I transplanted her, within a few days most of her leaves turned yellow or brown and I chalked it up to transplant shock and ended up giving her a serious haircut. I then wondered if she needed more water & inserted a terracotta olla to keep her hydrated at her own pace. Here’s a photo of some leaves from today… is this overwatered? Pests? Transplant shock? Thanks in advance…. Here’s also a photo of how fabulous she was before I repotted her. The difference is crazy

Overwatered I think but it is best to check for pests

Overwatering can lead to root rot so also check for that

Do you recommend I remove the olla then? I was hoping it would solve my anxiety around over or under watering the plant lol

These guys can be tricky. They don’t love change, and are very comfortable with their roots compact. I don’t repot mine unless it shows signs of stress from being root bound. They typically thrive being root bound for a good long while. I’d personally put this guy back in his original pot when it’s time to water next and water with diluted fertilizer.
