Hi! I bought a gorgeous trailing monsters adansonii a few weeks ago and repotted it because I could see she was root bound and outgrowing her pot. Once I transplanted her, within a few days most of her leaves turned yellow or brown and I chalked it up to transplant shock and ended up giving her a serious haircut. I then wondered if she needed more water & inserted a terracotta olla to keep her hydrated at her own pace. Here’s a photo of some leaves from today… is this overwatered? Pests? Transplant shock? Thanks in advance…. Here’s also a photo of how fabulous she was before I repotted her. The difference is crazy

    Overwatered I think but it is best to check for pests

      Overwatering can lead to root rot so also check for that

      Do you recommend I remove the olla then? I was hoping it would solve my anxiety around over or under watering the plant lol

      Yea let the soil dry out completely then water it maby use a thing that can tell u if it is dry or wet

    These guys can be tricky. They don’t love change, and are very comfortable with their roots compact. I don’t repot mine unless it shows signs of stress from being root bound. They typically thrive being root bound for a good long while. I’d personally put this guy back in his original pot when it’s time to water next and water with diluted fertilizer.
