My first monstera isn't she beautiful! I was just wondering, does this look like it is more than one, and should I separate them, if so?

    I would split it in half first. Hopefully, it will come apart somewhat easily, but it’s okay if you need to cut some roots. Monsteras love to grow roots. Then as the two plants grow, you can separate them again if you want. One of the biggest complaints among monstera owners is that they wish it was bushier, so keeping multiple plants together will make it look better. Also, be prepared to water often, & keep humidity at 40% or so ideally.

    this looks like two or three plants to me. i highly recommend separating them, just for ease of care. take it out of pot and start with the roots, detangle as best you can. you probably won't separate them all the way. chop what you have to in order to get the plants apart. they will shock for a while once they're in separate pots, but then you'll have multiple monstera instead of one 🥳

    Oh my gosh she is epic!!! That is A LOT of plants in one pot and whether to separate them or not is entirely subjective. I would argue that the plants have come a long way to grow together like this and to separate them would be…not nice lol. Just know that this cluster is gonna get massive and take up a lot of space and if you wanted to opt in to that, be prepared to trim lower leaves to manage the chaos!

    😃 so exciting I thought so! I'm torn on what to do lol will it hurt to wait to separate it. I'm of the same opinion Romi, I feel bad 😋 I'd like to do what would make her grow best. But I'd love to have multiple plants however she looks beautiful they way she is now. 😵‍💫
