Is this thrips? We brought a new monstera home and repotted it into separate plants for my friend and I both to have. now both my friend and I have found white and yellow bugs on the plant. Is it for sure thrips? Should we toss the plants or are they saveable?

yeah that looks a lot like thrips or nymphs. can be saved but quarantine away from and check other plants keep from spreading.

the key to no pests is consistency. consistent preventative treatments will help save you in the long run. for thrips, depot and clean off down to the roots, spray down with neem or wash with insecticidal soap, wipe leaves of the plant, repot in good soil. keep an eye on and quarantine the plant, treat with spray once a week until you go a month without seeing any bugs.

spray neem in mornings or evenings as it can burn your leaves when in the sun.
