I got this pretty monstera about a week ago, I noticed the little leaves in the bottom are getting some brown spots? What am I doing wrong here 😬 this is the pot that I bought it in from Lowe’s. I use a grow light so that it gets enough light when the light by the window isn’t coming in. Watered it today and last week when I brought it home. Any ideas?

You’ll need to change that soil out in another week or two (acclimating to your space now). It will give you a chance to look at the roots to make sure noting is wrong there. The soil needs to be WAY chunkier - add medium sized orchid bark and large perlite to a good, organic soil mix. While plants acclimate, or are just repotted they can go into varying states of “shock” and you can see some decline but they bounce back if you give them what they need

Is the pot still good to use? And should I get one of those climbing polls ?

Does it have drainage? As long as it isn’t super root bound you can use it if there is drainage. They love to climb so a trellis, cedar pole or moss pole would be great!
