I just picked up this Monstera Lechleriana today. I’ve never had a Monstera and I’m kind of new to plants in general. Any little tips would be greatly appreciated. It seemed very dry so I did water her. Pretty excited about her to be honest.

Monstera is very resilient. Light fertilizer and water it will be fine. You may want to check roots to make sure it doesn’t need a new home.
1 me gustaThat was going to be my next move. How will I know it’s ready to have a new home?

Usually you’ll see roots at the bottom. Lots. Sometimes coming out in some cases. Yours looks like it’s in a clear pot. So you should be able to see them easily.
1 me gustaOk cool. Yeah it’s clear I don’t see any roots atm so I’ll should be ok.

Trust me you’ll know when it’s time.

I got a variegated lechleriana as a cutting whew it has been a struggle. But a rooted and potted one should have more of that monstera hardiness. So I guess my advice is wait until it’s grown a lot and matured before you try to chop and prop it, if you’re interested in that
1 me gustaThank you. I don’t think mine is variegated. They told me to give it a stake or something to climb on once it was bigger. But I also saw you can hang them and they will grow down? Is that true?

Yes it can be either. Your is variegated. From what it looks like.
0 Me gustaOh ok thanks so much. I’m assuming the care isn’t different between the two.

I believe so.
