I know monstera’s don’t like to be cluttered in and like to have the space to grow. Is this too close for my new monstera? Should I move it to a more open space?

I wouldn’t worry about that until it’s larger for that to be a primary consideration. Does that spot have a lot of indirect sunlight? That’s something I can’t tell from the picture but it needs.
1 LikeYes, lots of indirect light in that spot! Theres sliding glass doors in that room with plenty of indirect light in that spot 😊

Amazing! You will be able to tell if it needs more by the way it shifts ( the leaves once more grow) and also how wide the gaps are with stems and arial roots. Also, when I was just beginning my plant journey, I thought there was another monstera ( Swiss cheese appearance )that differed from mine ! Lol You may or may not know that the solid leaves begin on the bottom and as the plant grows and more light is needed, the leaves with wholes begin forming. Don’t make my mistake and buy another one… as soon as I did, the plant unraveled a new leaf as if it was a plant’s way of showing me sass
