I see questions pretty often about Monsteras’ aerial roots so I wanted to share mine, which is on a sphagnum moss pole! The 2nd and 3rd pics are to show the roots going through the pole!

      Yesss! It’s understandable why people get confused. But yeah coco coir poles are basically just stakes 😭

    I’ll add that sphag moss is pretty hydrophobic when it dries out so it can be a pain to water. I use a bottle and invert it at the top of the pole to let it slowly absorb — otherwise it just runs over the sides and the middle stays dry & roots won’t be able to get in there

      Same here! Then between waterings, I’ll use a squeeze bottle like this just to moisten the moss around the roots (only when the moss is crunchy)
