My fiance just got me this Monstera & I’ve never owned one this big before. PLEASE help me save her I don’t even know where to start. I’m planning on repotting her today in a bigger pot with better drainage & better soil. I’m also planning on getting her something to climb on so I need recommendations for that. Other than that I’m not sure what else to do. What do I do about the aerial roots? She has some damaged leaves is that hurting her at all? Should I pick off the small dead ones at the bottom? I need all the advice possible I barely have any idea what I’m doing & I really don’t want her to die

If you are going to repot, make sure the pot is not too big. One or 2 inches bigger than the root ball. They like to be snug. Cutting the dead leaves off would be fine, although I don't really see any dead leaves. You can leave the aerial roots as is or tuck them into the dirt. Don't overwater and they like light.

Make sure it's a chunky soil mix and only go up about 2 inches in pot size to avoid root rot. I currently just have mine climbing a bamboo stick because I don't like the maintenance of moss poles. But I've seen people use wooden fan trellis's and I really like the look of that. Been wanting to switch mine to one. With the aerial roots, I just let mine go wild. Some people redirect them back into the pot. Some people chop theirs off. It's just personal preference.
