Hello everyone, I am a new Monsters Deliciosa mom. I am kind of worried with the new leaves. They look pale with a shade of very light brown. The other leaves also has brown spots. I placed this plant by the glass sliding door with a grow light that runs 12 hours a day. Help please😔

Monsteras tend to like bright but indirect light so it may be getting scorched depending on which direction ur glass doors are getting and how close the grow light is to the plant

I’ll move the grow light a little farther. Thank you so much!

Also, the pale green appearance is normal when a new leaf unfurls. Sending you all the good vibes for your new plant baby.

the 2 things seem to be linked to you touching it to much!!!! that brown looks like physical stress and the really pale looks like you hand unfurled the leaf? trying not to accuse (kinda) but that looks EXACTLY like what my deli looked like when i kept touching the new leafs

I did not touch them. I only touched it to take photos and I do not force the leaves to unfurl. That is stupid.

If you are trying to help , you should be watchful of how you make comments. thank you anyway but I think It’s common sense to not force any young plant/leaf to unfurl.
