Any reason my monstera decided to toss out a leaf backwards? I’ve had it about two years and it’s never lost a leaf or had issues but this one isn’t as fenestrated and is facing the back of the plant as pictured below

    Is the window behind the plant particularly sunny? It maybe facing backwards to take in the light from the window. I’ve had this happen with my monstera for this reason before.

      I hand expected it was all! My porch is pretty heavily shaded which is why I’ve got all the grow lights. But my monstera has been putting of leaves very quickly so it might be getting light hungry

    The leaves grow where the most sunlight is! My monstera does this too! How much does she get from that window?

      Hi! The light isn’t too intense. I have a shaded porch and there’s a building that casts a shadow on my apartment! But I’m guessing now that it’s getting larger it might need more light. Thank you!

      Yes ! I would try putting her one way words the light if you don’t want backwards leaves but sometimes they just do it for no reason!

      Thank you! I think I’m going to be ordering a vertical grow light and get her set up and a better moss pole to try and encourage more forward growth.
