Not sure but she’s beautiful
0 likesThank you! It was weird bc I went to this little local grocery store and for some reason it jumped out at me the white was SO white and it looks nothing like my Thais. I looked at the tag and it said Albo and was only $50 ( I was thinking um I have never seen a 3ft tall Albo for $50). Either way I took her home!
1 likeIt looks like an Albo to me! Thais have more consistent variegation with the speckles
1 likeOMG! I thought the SAME thing! I am actually shocked! Thank you for your help!
0 likesJust want to say that my daughter goes by Abi too. She’s an Abigayle and we have never met another Abi! Happy planting!

Wow definitely an albo! So they’ve hit the grocery stores now, huh? 2020 me would riot to get that 😂 Reasons I say it’s an albo: whiter color, sections with no variegation, and biggest give away for me is several inches of stem between each leaf node. Almost every albo is “small form,” recognizable by that longer node spacing. As far as I know, “small form” Thais don’t exist, so you wont find one that with stems like that. Instead they have pretty tight spacing between leaves, sometimes even hiding the main stem, aka “large form.” Thais can technically get stretched out stem spacing from growing in very low light conditions, but the leaves wouldn’t have any fenestrations in that case. So congrats on your new albo! 🤗 I love the white line right down the center of that top leaf. Mine has given me two leaves like that and I think it’s so cool ☺️
1 likeYes the little store I found it in just has a small rack of plants and in the back it popped out at me and I thought what the heck is that an albo? Then looked at the tag and it said Albo! It was just one lonely Albo waiting for me to arrive I guess! I figured I was getting excited for nothing and it was just a Thai (not that those arent cool but I allready have a few)! Thank you for all the great info! I love that people are so helpful on here! Now lets hope I can keep this baby girl alive! 😬
1 likedefinitely an albo, she might’ve been cheap because she’s really green, id blast her with a good grow light for at least 12 hours to bring out serious variegation 😁
0 likesOk great info! I live in illinois so i am sure she has not seen sun in quite some time! How far should I keep the grow light from her?
0 likesThank you SO much! Going to do a grow light ASAP! You all are the best! Thanks for the tips!
