Leaf curling help!! Ok so, new to plants in general, growing a majesty palm just fine!! (somehow?? it’s grown three spears) and I brought my banana plant back from the dead, but this monstera is giving me grief!!! I’ve noticed the leaves are curling inward quite badly, i’m not too sure why. It has a humidifier, is getting proper light, in fast draining soil (mix of tropic/carcus + orchid bark). It’s watered when it’s completely dry I’ve added on the moss pole (not a real one but I can’t find any and i’m scared of another infestion) Hoping that’ll help??? Does anyone have advice? I knew a constellation would be harder, but it was the cheapest one by almost 30! I guess that was the trick 😢

    Make sure your watering as soon as it's dry and not waiting too long. Mine curls its leaves when im even just a day too slow. I fertilize with every other watering too so that helps as well.

      Ok that makes sense! It did have a bit of inconsistent one for awhile, and i’ve been skipping fertilizer. I’ll do my poor plant better 🫡

      Do half strength whatever fertilizer you choose. I use FoxFarm Grow Big

      I’ve recently got my monstera, it’s pretty big. And I’ve noticed that the leaves started to fall to the sides, and also some leaves don’t have very structured look. I have had it for a month and never fertilized it. Can you suggest, how often do you think I should fertilize it? And should I always do half strength as you suggested for other person?

      Iya, make sure you are keeping up with watering when the soil goes dry especially if it is summer. Too long in-between watering makes the leaves curl or droop. Secondly, providing a single light source to the front of your monstera will straighten out the leaves making it look more uniform. For fertilizer, I fertilize every other watering during the warm growing season and once a month in the colder months of the year. I always use half strength fertilizer ratio, but you can do full strength if it's organic fertilizer like bat guano or chicken manure based.
