Help! I recently discovered what appears to be scale on my San Pedro cactus, which I keep in my bedroom along with my Monstera. I decided to look over the monstera as well and found these patches- are these scale, too??

    this looks more like corking to me.. especially if it’s more common on older leaves. here’s a photo of a monstera with scale from reddit. if you really wanna be sure, take a cotton swab with either neem oil or 70% isopropyl alcohol and try to dab it off. if it comes off, scale. if not, corking
