Bit if a difficult one but if anyone is mega experienced with neglected monstera, PLEASE let me know. I left this monstera at my mom’s house nearly two years ago and all that was done with it is watered and left to its own devices. I don’t really want to have to propagate if I can help it as I’m not experienced in this matter and I don’t want to kill it after it’s tried to fight for life 😭 over the last few years. It looks like I’ll probably have to and separate it in to three plants if I do. How would I go about this? I want to save it because it was my baby that I sadly left behind. ANY help at all will be appreciated.

Yep there was no saving it. Two propped in water and the other in substrate 🤞

I’m so glad you didn’t cut the browning leaf off! The plant can take nutrients from that leaf and put it towards growing roots!

Yess, someone very helpful told me that it’s fine to leave it in another group on here. I’m not one for aesthetic. I just want it to recover from this as best as it can. The roots were in a really sorry state. I’m surprised anyone can kill a monstera off after this survived my families major overwatering. I was shocked 😅

Plants are more resilient than people give them credit for! Gotta think monsteras are rainforest plants so they’re pretty adaptable
