Hello! Im a new plant & monstera momma. I just got this baby at Lowe’s today for $28! The soil feels moist so I’m not going to water it but should I repot her in a nursery pot? The one shes in has a string at the bottom for the water but not many drainage holes. Also working on mixing up a nice soil mixture, any recommendations would be appreciated ❤️

if theres not a lot of drainage definitely repot her, thai constellations r notorious for root rot! for a mix my fav is a mix of leca balls, perlite, potting mix, bark, and charcoal!

Repot ! They love drainage also are very sensitive to overwatering ! Couple tips lol ! - they don’t grow new leafs often mine like grows a new one every two months (with fertilizer) - they grow like weeds (with roots) so repot often ! - I love bottom watering mine but you can do top if you want ! - and before you know it yours will look like this or even better !

I also love bottom watering! I just repotted her yesterday with a mix of indoor & tropical soil. Mixed a tiny bit of the old soil she was in to help against shock. Let me know if there’s anything else! I also plan to get a moss pole :))

Those self watering pots they sell them in are good for the stores but not good for them long term. Thai cons are prone to root rot. I personally let mine settle into the house for a week and then repotted into a clear pot with a chunky mix, since there was no evidence of rot yet.
