Ok i am SO NEW to plants like literally last month i just decided i wanted to get into house plants and bought a monstera off fb marketplace place and now a couple weeks later i own like 8 pothos a bunch of spider plants 2 snake plants and lord knows what else plus now this monstera i got for $20 I got perlite and moss poles and did my best 😅 I watered it also before putting it back in its spot so we’ll see but what a journey

I feel you on that new plant addiction. I went from 0 plants, to 4 pepper plants, to now we have 60 indoor plants and about 30 more outside. Took less than 3 months for me to get to this many but I love them all except for my stupid Florida sweetheart caladiums. I think that monstera looks like it just wants a brighter closer light source. I have a vertical grow light pointed right at my new monstera and within 3 days all of the leaves have slowly redirected to be facing together which makes it look less stressed and leggy. I don’t see any actual health issues with yours, just some stretching and searching for light.
3 Mi piace I just ordered a grow light!! Hopefully that’ll do the trick! I’m glad I’m not the only one who rapidly developed a plant addiction lol it’s literally been since May 30 and I now have 24 plants 😂 I had to promise my husband I’d take a break from buying more lol

My journey was much the same in the beginning. 😁 My little piece of advice is to research the ones you do buy to make sure you are giving them what they need. That might help to slow you down too 😂 Godspeed!! It’s a hobby so full of joy. 💚💚
