Is the node growing up top an aerial root? If so, how should I support it? Is there anything I can do to encourage a fuller plant rather than the leggy growth I have right now? Any help appreciated!

LeafyGreenhouseYes it is an arial root , you don’t really need support for one root but if you want to I would recommend using a bigger moss pole, have you been fertilizing? does it get sun on all sides of the plant? Sometimes I have found with my monsteras fertilizer and sun on all sides of the plant help make it fuller.

It does get fertilizer! But now that you mention it, it’s really only getting sun on the side where the leaves are. I will to find a spot with better light for it. Thanks!

That’s good! That’s a good idea I have to turn mine frequently for good full growth!

KaidiiPlease don’t rotate it. Pick a direction and just give it considerably more light. Like at least 12 hrs, maybe as much as 16 if you have a grow light setup. It will give you a “full” look once the leaves reach maturity and are big. And it will stop looking leggy when the light requirements are met because it won’t be stretching to find light.

plantgeekmonstera need very bright light. i have neighbors who keep their monstera outside in the blazing florida sun all day, and they're thriving. monstera would naturally only get light from one direction because they're climbers, their stems have a "front" and "back", rotation isn't necessary. you just need more light.

Elias CI suggest a spagnum moss pole!! This allows their roots to go inside and get nutrients from watering the pole. Then they will start pushing out bigger leaves because they have more support and the more light the more fenestrations!!
