I received my monstera albo cutting (shipped in sphagnum over three days, rooted in water by seller) in the mail today. 🄲 It had root rot, and it extends to the other side of the node. The leaf and stems look okay. I used sterilized clippers to trim the rot and I placed it back in water, I salvaged the node but not the root. Is this my best shot? Any tips at all??? **Cross-posted

I don’t have advice but maybe try propping in leca or perlite? But I just bought a 4ā€ from Walmart.com for $60… maybe get a whole plant if you can?

But also, do you have another node on the other stem? I would just keep in water … it’ll keep it alive for some time and the roots will come through

It looks like it does have a node a bit higher up too. Thank you!!

I had a Thai con with root rot, lost all roots and had what appeared to be a node at the bottom of the leaves.. figuring I had nothing to lose, I stuck it in water and voila
