Hi maniacs, could you please give me some advice here? I’m getting new leafs at the base of my monstera (Joaquina). There are no exposed roots. I wonder how I can support it in a way that it grows up and get fancy leafs with the holes. 😅 thank you! Chat GPT told me that she is still young.
If you go to Walgreens their is a small bottle with liquid green, it will help your plant grow and shine.

at this stage i would suggest using skewers to support until it starts to grow bigger and you repot it. when you do that you can always get a cedar wood stake or bamboo sticks to support without having to use a moss pole (those are pretty complicated lol). just get you some plant velcro and make sure you velcro the petiole to the support and you’ll get those beautiful fenestrated leaves in no time:) be sure to give it bright indirect light that helps the fenestration process as well! what a beautiful plant!!

Yes to get fenestrations (the holes) it is smart to start it climbing

It also looks as though you have more than one plant there (maybe two?), when you stake them, make sure you are supporting each plant separately and not accidentally tying them together. Ideally when you repot, you can turn them so that they’re both facing the same direction as monsteras have a front and back. There are lots of really useful videos on YouTube about how to separate them and tell which way around they want to grow.
