I’ve been experimenting with some philodendron tissue cultures recently, and I think I’m ready to step up my game. Wish me luck😅 Anyone else into tissue cultures?

      I’m pretty new to it, but you can get super cool, rare plants for cheap! And I had about a 90% success rate with the philodendrons I was experimenting with, so my confidence is dangerously high at the moment haha

    Yes, I love tissue cultures, and starter plants! As long as you have a couple years to wait for these plants to mature, it is so much more cost-effective! I highly recommend using fluval stratum or something similar! I also use cups that have attachable domes to keep 100% humidity while I am acclimating them to my grow tent!

    And just a note I know that a lot of people have had good experiences with orange Lake nursery, but I have not had good luck. I’ve had a few issues with my orders and they essentially wanted me to ship back the plants that were dead and as long as they were in healthy condition, they would give me a full refund. Which obviously is ridiculous.🤣 so for future reference if you’re placing a large order, you might want to do it with a company like Gabby plants or somebody who has a great return/insurance policy. Not that you asked!

    Orange Lake Nursery is an AMAZINGGGGGG company!! All but 2 of these plants were TC from Orange Lake. They are incredibly responsive and helpful if you have any questions!

      I’ve been really happy with them so far! I may or may not have ordered some more from them last night 👀 my confidence is dangerously high atm lol (I got a philo Red Anderson, philo Green Congo Nuclear, philo variegated Micans, philo variegated Moonlight)

      Oh girl, I ordered all of those within a month after getting my first TC bc it survived 😅 and I have three more under a cloche waiting to be acclimated. It’s addictive!! And I’m not sure if you’ve heard of Palmstreet but they do plant auctions on there! Sometimes you can get them for cheap
