I moved my monstera from a black nursery pot to a plastic see through that I drilled holes into so I could see the roots and soil better. However she's not looking that great! This is the first time I've reported since I got her 4 years ago, and I kept it the same size as the original. I moved 18 months ago and my monstera currently sits next to a South window behind a door. Any tips would be appreciated! Would it benefit to move outside in the shade when it warms up?

I’m new as well and I’m not sure if the color of the pot matters much… but maybe she just got stressed and just needs to adjust to the new pot. Mine did this for 2/3 days after I repotted her and she’s doing great now. I wish you the best of luck!

maybe put her in more direct light but not for long as it can burn her leaves x

Make sure the root to soil ratio is good when you repot plants the pot should be only about 2 inches bigger

I stuck with the same size because it wasn't root bound so I don't think that's the issue 🤞

Hi! I have a few suggestions: 1) What potting mix are you using? - Monsteras need a very porous chunky potting mix so if you have it in just a regular potting mix with nothing added to it like perlite or orchid bark, it will slowly choke the roots. I recommend, if you decide to repot again, mix your potting mix with 30% perlite and 30% orchid bark so it will be a potting mix that is 30-40% regular potting mix, 30% perlite and 30% orchid bark. 2) Definitely improve light. - In the pictures of my monstera below I have it about 3-4 feet from a south facing window where i can see full sunshine directly hitting the leaves for at least 6 hours a day. I also have it under a 20-30 Watt (can’t remember exact wattage) SANSI light bulb for about 10 hours a day. The light that you currently have in your picture, I believe, is not providing your monstera with a strong enough light to see consistent strong growth.

Awesome thank you so much for the tips! I may get a better soil mix just because it wasn't super chunky. I appreciate the help, it definitely does need better lighting
