It looks pretty. Consider getting on Amazon and ordering the moss pole they make specifically for the monstera plants they are a lot longer. I would go ahead and prune off that leaf that’s damaged. Does the plant get good humidity and is it in a good drainage soil?
1 LikeThe moss pole I bought has more poles I can add to make it taller as needed. Yes, I was planning on removing that bottom leaf soon! Humidity is not something I’ve focused on & it’s an all purpose potting mix.
1 Likei make my own moss poles cause none of the coco coir ones on amazon allow for the ariel roots to actually get up in there. my ariel roots are growing through the pole which provides amazing support. look up a tutorial on tiktok and you’ll get better results than the crappy ones from amazon! you could also maybe find a homemade one like this on etsy. and make sure you keep it moist! they can become hydrophobic. stick a bottle upside down on it to trickle water:)
2 LikesWow! I might need to consider this diy moss pole for my own monstera. It's currently just on a bamboo pole and it's been through a rough move. 🙃
2 Likesdo it! the difference in my plants happiness levels on a homemade one vs a coco coir one is crazy! you don’t even have to tape them cause the roots just go right in!
0 LikesThis is really cool & insightful! I will consider this option more. For now I’m just calling it a win to get have a moss pole to begin with 😆
1 LikeI agree the one with sphagnum moss is much. better that is the set up I plan on switching too. It does give the aerial roots the opportunity to attach and grow like crazy. However until you can get to that set up the Amazon extended poles can suffice to give the support for it to grow up straight aesthetically.. good luck
