Help! This stem in my monstera has started to go yellow/brown and turn super crunchy and dry. Why is that? And what can help it? I thought maybe I was over watering or my soil was too dense and staying too wet, so I repotted with a new blend, but I still want to try to see what I can do. The same stem has a new leaf that just popped out, so she’s not dying. Any thoughts or advice?

that’s just a sheath where the new leaf left the node. some people peel it off but i don’t touch it unless i’m propping to prevent rot. feel free to ignore or remove!

I didn’t know that! Thank you so much for the info! I’m still kind of new to a lot of plants, so I really really appreciate your help! 🥰
