Hi! I bought my first ever monstera from a supermarket a couple of months ago. I am very new to monsteras (and houseplant care in general), but after talking to a friend I suspect there might be multiple plants in this pot. Is this a bad thing? Should I try and separate them, and if so, how do I go about this? Any advice would be great, thank you so much 🪴

looks like there might be multiple to me. You can keep them together or separate, just know that separating will let you grow them larger faster. i'd recommend watching a video on how to separate them- it's much easier to understand when you watch someone do it rather than be told

Yes I think it looks like multiple plants also. I had that happen and it ended up being six plants. I separated and gave some away.

Thank you all for the advice!! I ended up separating them - I have one big plant and two babies!! I lost a few roots so I am hoping and praying that they all pull through, wish me luck 🙏
