hello!! i have a monstera adansonii and i think she’s surviving but not thriving so im looking for suggestions! im having trouble with yellow leaves , not too excessive but enough to think something needs to change. I can admit humidity could definitely be a bit more optimal

possibly, i watered her the other day so right now she doesn’t need any but the frequency of watering could be the issue

Wait until the soil is *almost* dry and then saturate. Most people water biweekly. You can do the chopstick method if you don’t have a moisture meter! They need bright indirect light since direct light can cause sunburn damage! They can tolerate low light but like any plant, it’ll stagger its growth. Some advice varies a lot with Adansonii depending on where you live. I’m in NY so I needed to up the humidity and temperature but they don’t necessarily require humidity unless you’re noticing crispy edges I’d also recommend fertilizing if you don’t already!

ahh okay, I will definitely try that watering method for sure! How often would you recommend fertilizing for this plant?

I can’t tell from the photo, but could it be normal leaf turnover? Is it the oldest leaves?

It seems like the younger ones are yellowing as well

Just a warning, even after you fix the problem they can keep losing leaves for a bit yet. So don't panic and try something else right away. I wait to water until the soil is pretty much dry and fertilize every two weeks during the growing season, once a month during the winter.
