Got this beautiful monstera cutting that was successfully propagated to get lots of roots! I have potted it in a chunky monstera mix and as it’s large I’m expecting it to take some time to see some growth, however the backside of each one is brown and dry, is this normal? Will it eventually still get growth from them?
Good morning ☀️ beautiful plant! The browning on the stem is quite normal as new leaves bud. They seem to be the protective leaf prior to the bud forming and the oldest leaf portion. Here’s one from my thai con.
it's the sheath from those leaves unfurling. once the leaves unfurl, the sheath dies. it's completely normal

If you need anymore clarification, it’s totally normal. Yours actually isn’t even that bad compared to mine and mine is younger. Thats a nice looking leaf you’ve got!
