Got home from house sitting to find this ☹️ I was only gone for 4 days, and I reeeally thought they’d be okay 🥲 my Thai Con seems to be rotting and my little monstera looks totally done. I’m going to inspect the Thai Con later today, should I just turn it into cuttings?

The little guy looks overwhelmed by the amount of soil; how big was his root system? As for the thai, when was it last potted? How’s the humidity level and lighting? I wouldn’t give up on it quite yet! Plants are resilient and it just looks a little droopy!

The little ones root system was very impressive considering how small it was. (I’ll attach a picture of it from 2-3 weeks ago, before moving it to its current pot) it was absolutely thriving in the new pot and I was sooo happy with it. I usually err on the side of caution with pot size, and go too small before too big. The Thai Con was repotting maybe 2 weeks ago, humidity was very low while I was gone. I just unpotted it and every single bit of its roots was rotted. So I ended up doing cuttings 🥲

Thai con looks completely fine just throwing a hissy fit. Give it time and I think it will be fine.

Soak in hydrogen peroxide/water 20:80, reroot in perlite and water the perlite will help with oxygen.
