Hello everyone! I am looking into getting a smaller humidifier for my plants, any advice? Not sure which one to get I was looking for one that would be good with a variety of plants mostly monsteras. I recently saw a post on one of the communities where a persons humidifier was cause issues with their plants and i want to avoid that. Any ideas on a good humidifier for small spaces as well as larger spaces? Thanks in advance!!
I have found I prefer the ones without filters. You’ll need to clean it either way. I think the cool v warm mist ones will come down to personal preference and how close you’ll have it to plants. I believe I killed some growth by having my cool mist blowing on them at too high of a setting As for size I’d recommend a bigger one than you think you’ll need as long as you have the space for it, you can always turn it to low v not being able to turn it high enough if it’s too small.

I personally use the Govee humidifiers they have a variety of sizes and they have hygrometers you can pair with them to keep an eye on humidity levels. They Bluetooth to an app so you can set schedules for when to want it run and turn off. And they’re really not that expensive either.

I would recommend getting one that you can turn the top to which way the mist is blowing. 😉

Hmm I haven’t shopped around for small humidifiers since my personal priority is large water reservoir. But I personally think it’s good to get one with adjustable humidity rather than just off and on. It’s not advisable to have an indoor space at higher than 50% humidity on a regular basis. You can go higher in an enclosure such as a plant cabinet, but I think it’s important to monitor if you’re humidifying a room. Maybe the people you’ve heard from about their humidifier issues had unsafe humidity levels, which can cause mold and fungal issues
