Hi! I’ve had this plant for about 3 months and one of the leaves recently started having brown flaky spots. Any ideas what’s causing this? It is in a west facing window so it gets some direct sunlight for a few hours in the afternoon but most of the day it’s shaded. Thinking it might be too sunny though.. No idea

It looks more like a watering issue to me

I also thought this. I typically water when planta tells me to. You think it’s overwatered? Thank you for the reply :-)

Planta tends to have you overwater. I don’t have an adansonii, but I usually let my deliciosa dry out completely between waterings

Mine did that when I first got it, and the issue was over-watering. I sorted myself out and while the leaf is still there and alive, it’s never looked as vibrant as the other plants. I suggest getting a water meter! Mine cost £10 from Amazon and is absolutely brilliant if you tend towards over-watering.

You can also use a chopstick. Stick to bottom of pot, wait a couple minutes, if chopstick comes out wet/dirty snooze the watering and check again. Water when chopstick comes out clean and dry. :)

      Yes, far more economical!
