This monstera has been through a lot but we finally settled down. Once we were a bit more healthy I repotted her. When I was repotting there was extensive root bound. I just off most of it as it was basically all rotted anyways. Tried to keep as much of the healthy roots as possible and we have been surviving. It’s been about 3 months since repotting but I haven’t noticed any new growth and every couple of days I get a brown leaf falling off. What should I do. The soil I used has fertilizer she gets watered enough and tons of sun. Maybe too much sun? We have one really big root and nothing else. In the picture below the second not so long root basically fell off when I touched it a few days ago. These pics are about 1 week apart. What do I do :( ~Concerned Mother

It doesn’t look like it’s too late to save this plant baby! It just seems like it may be getting too much unfiltered sunlight so i would try moving it towards a sunny window inside :)

This is what you need to do. All monstera’s are aroids and naturally like something to climb up for their aerial roots to attach to, so it needs a pole. This plant needs a very chunky well draining soil mixture that also has some organic matter in it. And it also does need indirect, or filtered sunlight as Anna said. So 1: I would propagate it to reset the roots/because its so leggy and do a repotting if the soil doesn’t drain quickly and is not chunky and breathable for the roots. Don’t forget the pole! 2: move it inside to a S;E; or W facing window, no direct sunlight anymore. 3: water regularly so roots can develop healthily and strongly, the soil should dry out between waterings so the roots don’t rot though. And in no time you will have a beautiful mini monstera to love and care for and marvel at its beauty! Good luck
