I don't think I have the magic monstera touch. I got these Thai Con nodes in May 2024....almost 18 months ago! Not stellar growth. Put it on a Moss pole in July 2025, and also found thrips that I treated for 6 weeks. She is trying hard to come back. I still have 1 leaf that was not damaged, and a new leaf (small) coming in. I was fertilizing until Oct (weak amt per watering). I am still trying to find the right light....she is in a East window, so indirect light. Suggestions?

I have never had thrips so I cannot give advice on that, but I would assume she would just need time to recover from that. Most my Monsteras are in my sun room. They get East, South and North indirect light in that room pretty much all day from dawn until dusk. I have one Thai Con in a bedroom that only has East sun, but I also have grow lights in that room. They are not above or on her directly and she is about 3-4 weeks behind my other monsteras in putting out new leaves. In fact my Albo has had 2 leaves before she even finished opening her first one. The less light they have the longer it takes them to grow.

I have struggled with light for her. I am hoping to get a vertical grow light so her leaves face forward. She is just so small for being 18 mon old!

In my experience Thai Cons grow slower than everyone else. My Mint, albo and Deliciosa grow a lot faster than either of my cons

I have had a lot of success with my Thai Cont using a grow light. I also use high nutrient, chunky soil. I water it weekly, and by water I mean I really soak it until the drainage hole leaks a lot of water. I hope yours bounces back soon
