    I think it’s true… idk how root bound is acceptable but I do think once they start getting snug, they sprout more leaves.

    Yes they love to be rootbound it helps promote leaf growth

    Monsteras LOVE producing roots, much more than they do producing leaves. They will spend all their energy on roots rather than leaves. So, to counteract it, we allow them to be root bound. It is a fine line though and as you know your plant best, you can decide when it’s time to upsize. Just know that the leaf growth will be stunted as it’s growing into its new pot.
