Meet Jewles, my Albino Monstara. I have wanted her for a very long time and ideally I want to grow her leafs very big on a moss poll. I am wondering if you could hand down your tips on keeping her healthy, growing big leafs, and all the things! Pest control? Ideal lighting? Pebble try? Spray her? What lighting would you recommend? Moss pole or homemade moss pole? Plant food? What do peoepl give plants to keep the white? Tell me everything! I am still learning but love ❤️ it! I would love to learn from all of you!

    Here is a care list Monstera albo (variegated Swiss cheese plant) Light - bright indirect Watering - (sensitive to overwatering) once or twice a week Fertilizer- light tropical houseplant fertilizer with every watering (I use southside plants tropical houseplant fertilizer for my variegated monsteras and it works great) Humidity- 60-70% (highly recommended humidifier) Repotting- Soil - chunky soil mix Pot - (monsteras like smaller pots) 1-2 inches bigger then the rootball Support - moss pole is the most common but there are other options Common issues (not full list) - overwatering, brown spots on leaves , sun damage

      Variegation is not guaranteed to increase, from what I can see this one has a bit lower variegation but that new leaf definitely looks like it has some good genetics

      Thank you so much for your tips! This is so helpful! On fertilizer, I never know the difference between plant food and fertilizer and if my plants need both? I have superthrive pro 3 6 9 that I use as well as the superthrive vitamin kelp I am making an at home moss pole with sp. moss chicken wire zip ties and pumice at the base. I also don’t know what I should spray neem oil or insecticidal soap?? This is great though! My Tia constellation is doing great 👍 except for the older leaves curl in a bit but she’s thriving! I want to put a moss pole in but only her pedestals are above soil.

      Oh really? I am not sure what you mean? The pattern and white? How do I tell? What leaf do you like? Do I need to add a hormone for the white?? I also heard this.

      I think your fertilizer will be fine but if you want to be extra careful search up light fertilizer for houseplants in google. Plant food and fertilizer are pretty close to the same thing , usually fertilizer is stronger. Homemade moss poles are a great option! I would be careful with spraying neem oil and insecticidal soap, insecticidal soap is more deluded than neem oil so it’s less likely to burn the leaves.

      You can’t tell for sure how much variegation it has but usually if it’s not increasing in variegation (white) with new leaves then it’s lower. Yours is. So I think it has a pretty good rate. Btw if you want to tell how much variegation is going to be on the next leaf when it starts unfurling look at the stem. You can add hormone for the variegation but I haven’t ever done that before because mine has been fine on its own.
