Am I doing this right? I'm just now adding a trellis and I'm putting the large one on because I'm thinking you probably don't swap them out when they get big right? I'm also not sure if I should pull the plant back and tie it to the pole or just let it naturally find its way up it? My husband is swearing up and down that monsteras don't go on trellises 😩🤦 I know I'm coming in late in the game with the trellises ...halp🙏😁🤷♀️🌱
i have my big monstera on a trellis, the aerial roots haven’t grown into the wood of my trellis but offering the support of it has helped it to grow larger leaves. i just loosely tie yarn around the main stem (NOT THE PETIOLES!!!!) and let it do its thing from there :) hope this helps! my trellis is from the home depot garden center lol
monsteras are climbing plants so they thrive with any extra support they can get
