My Monstera has gotten HUGE and the moss poles I have are holding up but I think if I go any higher my monstera will be too heavy. Does anyone have any suggestions for replacing the moss poles that can take the weight of a large monstera?

I use a trellis for mine. I have had to size up a couple of times. I got it from Lowes and they do have different sizes. Mine is not as tall as yours but I remember seeing larger sizes there.

    A metal trellis?

I have seen people use a thick wooden stake. Like a flat piece of lumber to support a big monstera. I’ve not had to do this myself, but it has looked pretty sturdy. Also, whoa 🤯 🤩 what a beautiful plant! 🪴 💚

I recommend an actual pole filled with moss that you keep moist like the soil. The aerial roots will root into it and it will be really easy to chop and repot when it gets too tall for the room.

I never grow Mostera this big so I don’t have any experience on that; but just want to say it’s so gorgeous!!!!!

I would totally do a DIY moss pole where you can get chicken wire with a long piece of maybe 2” PVC for the middle and fill around the tube with sphagnum moss! I’d love to see how it comes out still😁

I have seen someone use bamboo poles and then they ran wire across every foot or so. It helped with spreading. I would be nervous repotting a beauty that large-good luck!
