Hi I'm very new to the house plants world in terms of actually trying to keep them alive. I bought two of what I believe to be Monstera Esqueletos from home depot in two different sized water pots and I feel like I should repot them in soil soon to avoid any root rot and such. Any tips on pot size and type of soil I should plant them in? I really want them to thrive so any tips would be appreciated!

Monstera adansonii. Just like mine but without the variegation (it’s cool but tricky to maintain)

      What substrate do you use?

I mixed potting soil with extra drainage, this one has leca, perlite, activated charcoal. I used self-watering pot as well

Root rot from growing in water is less likely than root rot growing in soil. I have a peace lily that did good in soil… but once I pulled out all the baby rizomes and repotted the mother plant in leca…. She is actually growing faster now. Growing in water allows air to flow around the roots which prevents root rot. Since these have been growing in water they have water roots not soil roots so I would introduce them to soil gradually not just chunk them in a pot. When you do swap to soil, use a chunky soil mix or well draining mix. You can make your own but I like to use bromeliad mix as it is a really well draining soil and cuts out having to make batches.
